The Phillip's House

The Phillip's House

c. 1915
107 Morris Street

This grand two-story Bungalow was built between 1915 and 1924 for Louis D. Phillips, the owner of Phillips Brother’s Ford and Lincoln Auto Dealers.

The wood ornamentation consists of rafter rails, steeply-tapered porch posts, and bracketed fascia boards on gable ends. The architectural emphasis is on horizontal orientation with complex cross-gabling.

After Mr. Phillips’ death, it was owned and occupied through the mid-seventies by his widow, Mrs. Claire Phillips. It was purchased by Cecil and Lucille Estes in 1997
